Thank You to All of the Flambé Dreams Team!

After the last performance of Flambé Dreams on Friday night at the 45th Street Theater, I had a sad feeling, like when a friend goes away. I loved every moment of the process of mounting Flambé Dreams and learning from it, so seeing it close, was not an enjoyable moment, even though I was very happy about the most successful result. The audiences love our show!
I want to give a special thank you to all of the cast, crew and Flambé Dreams family that put their collective hearts into the New York Musical Theatre Festival production. I am proud to have worked with you. The professionalism you brought to the production was of the highest level. The show was a success because of your efforts. You stood the heat (oh yeah!!!) and the fire. I have a flame lit in my heart for all of you that growing higher and higher. Stay tune for more Flambé Dreams.
Thank you.
Randy Klein.
As I sat in the audience for the final performance of our show Flambé Dreams (not so final – the show has been given an extension), I found myself feeling completely happy and elated. The audience was laughing in all the right places and the songs which Matthew Hardy and I toiled over for the last years were getting extended applause. So I sat there in the audience watching and simply enjoying the moment. I want to thank all of the cast and creative team who have given their time and energy to Flambé Dreams to make it come alive and for my evening of complete exhilaration.
I have always loved going to the theatre and escaping into the world of the show I was watching. Tonight I escaped into the world of the show that I was part of creating.
Special congratulations to my collaborator Matthew Hardy. His vision of the show became very clear last night. I was particularly proud and happy for him.

I have always been aware of a musical theatre axiom, that everyone should be putting up the same show. We are very lucky to have a team of creative musical theatre pros who are putting up the same show and that is Flambé Dreams. Mounting Flambé Dreams is a wonderful experience. The show is funny, heartfelt and really crazy. We’re having a terrific time at rehearsals, laughing a lot. The Monday performance on July 9th is sold out. Seats are going fast for the other 5 performances. For reservations go here. Help to bring Flambé Dreams to the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF)! Thanks to all. More to come…. Randy

A fantastic end to our first week of rehearsals of Flambé Dreams for the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF)! We began the day with the staging of the Act I closer, Perfection and with the 11’O’Clock number, My Dream with photographer, Lena Adasheva present shooting still shots throughout the morning session. Stephen Gabis joined us again and continued to work dialect with Jarrod Spector and Catherine Cox. We finished the afternoon reviewing music with Larry Pressgrove. Larry is a wonderful musical director, patient, communicative and a wonderful individual to be around. Everyone is upbeat and excited about the show and looking forward to week two! The cast did a nice job of pushing through a busy week. I am personally pleased with hearing and seeing the show come alive. The process is really uplifting. Thanks everybody for a great week. More to come…..
